Classic UrduWhat an aqiqa card is for
The aqiqa is the sacrifice for a newborn, by tradition on the seventh day after the birth (or later), often with a meal for family and friends. The card invites them in the parents’ names.
What goes on it
Bismillah, the parents as hosts, “the aqiqa of our son” or “daughter” with the baby’s name, the day, date and time, the place and a number for replies. One name on the card: the bride box is not printed for an aqiqa.
Son or daughter
The card works for both: type the baby’s name, and write “son” or “daughter” in the Invited by line or the Note if you want it said.

Questions
When is the aqiqa held?
By tradition on the seventh day after the birth; many families hold it on the 14th or 21st day, or later. Put your own date on the card.
Whose name goes on an aqiqa card?
The baby’s name, with the parents (or grandparents) as the hosts who invite.
Can I make it in Urdu?
Yes. Type the names in Urdu and the card is set in Nastaliq, with the title تقریبِ عقیقہ.
Is the shadi card maker really free?
Yes. Every design, every size and every file type is free, with no account and no sign-up. Download as many cards as you want.
Which file should I take to the print shop?
PDF. It is vector, so the letters stay sharp at any size, and it is the exact card size (5 × 7 in, 4 × 6 in or A5). A PNG at 300 or 600 DPI also prints well.
